Deep breaths
The funny thing about creative energy is that, sometimes, it tickles. For me, it begins with an itching, crawling feeling in the palms of my hands. These uncontrollable jitters urge that I immerse myself in process.
This is the creation of one such jitter that nearly found its way up my shirtsleeve last night. Somehow, the jitter recalled that I'd kept a blog my first year of college.
Dusting off the words I'd written 5 years ago, I feel incredibly fond of my younger self. Fond and a bit amused. And obviously to some extent, inspired.
Recently, I read a blog post by Darius Foroux sharing his obligatory daily reminders that make life better. His final one? Smell the roses.
That's what I'd like these posts to be. One of the many ways I slow down, get out of my head, and breathe deep.
Here's to finding that roses are everywhere, friends.
